Silly Little Emergency Exchange Project
Welcome to SLEEP! The Silly Little Emergency Exchange Project, a fic exchange for Emergency! (the 1970s paramedics show) with an accompanying art prompt list.
This is a first trial, any help is appreciated, but please keep it constructive and polite.
General Details
1. You can sign up as a fic writer, pinch hitter and writing mentor. You can also stick around to look out for the anonymous art prompt list and make art!
- as a fic writer you will gift someone a fic and get a fic
- as a pinch hitter you help out if someone should leave the exchange for unforeseen circumstances
- as a writing mentor you help people, who struggle with their writing projects2. If you sign up as a fic writer, you get assigned someone to write a fic for and given a list of their preferences. Somebody else is assigned to write a fic for you.2.b All writers can send me an anonymous prompt based on the fic you are writing for the exchange, to be added to the Art Prompt List. Artists then can look at the prompts and create something based on those prompts.3. All works have to be posted on ao3 in the SLEEP 2025 collection. All works will be hidden and anonymous until the reveal date.4. All works will be revealed at once and kept anonymous for two weeks.4.b During those two weeks I'll add the work titles to the Art Prompt List, so artists can post their art on ao3, add it to the collection and mark it as inspired by the according fic.5. The authors are revealed.

Rules
Fic Writing
Fics should be a fully fledged story about 1000 and 2000 words, but longer is okay too, if you are comfortable finishing it in the given time frame.Beta readers are encouraged but not necessary.Respect your giftee's preferences, follow their instructions on what they don't want and what they do want. There is also no pressure to write anything that makes you uncomfortable.
Art
Art prompts should be anonymous, meaning the writer who comes up with the prompt shouldn't be able to be identified. Characters and story details are up to your discretion.
Trouble Shooting
If you have questions or problems, please direct them to me. I can ask your giftee to clarify things for you to keep the surprise a surprise.If you can't make it after all, please tell me as soon as you know so I have enough time to get a pinch hitter, so your giftee still gets a gift.If you have trouble with your project ask me and I can look around for a writing mentor/buddy to help you out and guarantee that they are not your fic giver and that they are comfortable with the project you are working on.
